The zipper pulls are smooth even for my little one’s fingers, and the raccoon face on the front makes it stand out from all the plain black bags in the hallway. It’s held up fine through a month of daily school drops, no loose threads yet.

My kid spotted the raccoon right away and now refuses to carry anything else to school. The regular size fits a lunchbox and a folder without looking bulky, and the straps haven't dug into her shoulders once.

Bought this for my daughter's first day of school and she refused to take it off all evening. The regular size fits her lunchbox, a water bottle and a folder without looking stuffed. The little raccoon face makes her easy to spot at pickup too.
